Dr. Barnhart possesses a Juris Doctor as well as a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. He was in private practice as a Clinical Psychologist also specializing in forensic psychology. Dr. Barnhart has been a strong advocate for Oregon’s education system at all levels and has served as a member of the Eugene 4J School Board. Currently Dr. Barnhart is Representative in the Oregon State Legislature. | | | Vice President: David Mills, JD
David M. Mills became a member of the Board of Directors in 1989. In his law practice, Mr. Mills specializes in bankruptcy law, is a member of the Lane County Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. As an avid bicyclist, Mr. Mills frequently rides his bicycle to his office as well as to evening meetings of the Emergence Board of Directors. | | | Secretary: Christine Sullivan Christine Sullivan was elected to the Board of Directors and has served as the Secretary since 2000. Ms. Sullivan brings her expertise in marketing, advertising, and public relations to the agency and has since retired from her business in this field. She has had extensive involvement in the greater Eugene/Springfield community including charter membership in the Committed Partners for Youth non-profit organization, past-president of the University of Oregon Alumni Association, and Master Gardener Volunteer, Lane County OSU Extension Services. |  | Founder: Susan Y. Susan Johnson is the founder of Addiction Counseling and Education Services, Inc., (ACES) and came onto the board as a member in 2005; in 2006 Ms. Johnson was elected to the position of Treasurer for the Board. In addition to her active private practice, Ms. Johnson is a photographer and a gardener. In 1981, in response to the new laws in the State of Oregon requiring persons who are sited for driving under the influence of intoxicants, Ms. Johnson combined her education and her vision by creating ACES to provide treatment services to these clients. |  | Member at Large : Kevin Greig , C.P.A.
Kevin Greig joined the Board of Directors in 2003 as a Member-at-Large. Mr. Greig is a partner in the firm Kernutt, Stokes, Brandt and Company, CPAs. Over the years, Mr. Greig has provided support to many non-profit organizations, and has contributed his dedication to fiscal excellence to the EMERGENCE Executive Director and to the Board of Directors. Mr. Greig also has been a member of the Marist High School Advisory Council. |
